Put a model on the board or a screen
A link for the classroom's interactive board, or any screen, that opens Foxar+ on the school's licence. Nobody signs in.
A link for a board or a screen puts Foxar+ on the classroom’s interactive board, or on any other screen, on the school’s licence. Nobody signs in on the board.
It is made by a teacher who is a member of a school where Foxar switched on Links for pupils: the same switch covers both links.
Making the link
Open the model or the article, press Share, then For a board or a screen. With no model, open My account, My links, then Link for a board or a screen, and pick the school: that link opens the school’s home, meaning the school’s content that is not restricted, and the public catalogue.
Choose how long it lasts, exactly as for a pupil link: tonight, 7 days, the end of the school year or a date. The school may set a maximum length, and the link never goes beyond it.
Keep or change the settings. Free navigation is on by default, so Foxar’s menus stay visible on the board. Two places are held by default, and they can be changed behind Edit.
Choose whether the model opens by itself. Open the 3D model automatically is on by default: the board lands in the model, on the section picked under Start with (the first one of the page by default). A link with no model, or to an article, does not have it.
The last screen shows the address in very large type, with a QR code and a Copy the link button. Type the address in the board’s browser, or scan the QR code. The address starts with app.foxar.org/d/ today, and with foxar.org/d/ after the switch at the end of October.
Changing or stopping it
To change later where a link opens, press Edit next to it in My account, My links. The address stays the same, and a board already open follows the change on its next load.
A board or screen link belongs to the school, not to the teacher. If the teacher leaves the school, the link keeps working. A pupil link does not: it stops opening. The teacher can revoke a link at any time from My account, My links, and the school’s managers can revoke it too.
The school's own boards
A school that holds rooms can also link all its classroom boards at once, by building for instance, with no link to make per lesson. That is set up by a manager, see Immersive room.
