Compose a stand

Paths, slides and scenarios: how a demo stand is put together on the web, and who sees it.

Stands are composed on the web, at app.foxar.org/demo. The iPad plays them.

A stand is made of paths, one per audience (school, company, parents, press, or another one), each with its own slides. A slide is a model, a picture, a clip, a title card or a page of the journal. A model plays a scenario:

  • Guide. Steps through the cards, one every few seconds.

  • Quiz. Plays a quiz to its score, answering by itself.

  • Showcase. The model alone, on screen.

  • Controls. Sweeps its own control, out and back.

  • Manual. No clock, the staff moves on.

In the stand's settings: the path played by default, whether to ask visitors who they are, after how many seconds the loop resumes, whether the model turns by itself, and the "Touch to explore" hint.

Who sees it sets who finds the stand. A private stand is for its author and the people it is shared with. An unlisted one opens for anyone with the trade-show mode who has the address. Each stand has a permanent link, and a link by code that can be changed. Changing the code breaks the links already handed out on the old one, the permanent link keeps working.

Preview plays the stand through without counting anything. A colleague who wants their own version of a stand chooses Duplicate.
