On the day
Prepare the device before the doors open, start the demo, steer it from a phone, and read the counters after the show.
Start the demo
Before the doors open, on the office Wi-Fi: Prepare this device on the web, Prepare on the iPad. Every model, picture, clip and article of the stand is downloaded and kept, so the stand plays without a network.
Play, then Start the demo. The stand goes full screen and the loop begins.
A visitor touches the screen: the stand hands over, and takes the loop back after a while without a touch.
For the staff: a presentation clicker's arrows move from one slide to the next, and the P key opens the list of paths and their slides, to show a visitor the one they ask for straight away. On the web, Escape leaves the stand.
Steer from a phone
On a phone signed in to an account that can play the stand, Remote on the stands page lists the screens playing it. From there: previous and next slide, pause, restart the slide, change the path, on one screen or on all of them. The screens keep playing on their own if the phone drops out.
After the show
Each stand counts, on each device, how many times a slide played, how many times it was touched and how long it was handled. Nothing about the visitors: no name, no account, nothing sent anywhere. The stand's menu exports them, and adds another device's, to see at the end of the show which model stopped people.
