Pupils' quiz results

With a pupil link, pupils can keep their quiz results under a first name, and the teacher reads them in a table.

Without a name, a pupil's quiz results stay in the browser and nothing is sent. When the school allows it, a pupil who opened a pupil link can give a first name or a nickname to keep them.

Who has it

First name for quizzes is switched on by Foxar for the school, at the school's request. The school then accepts that the first name or nickname a pupil chose, and the quiz results, are kept on the platform. Once it is on, the teacher keeps or switches off the option on each link.

On the pupil's side

  • Only when the school allows it, the end of the first quiz asks Keep this result? The pupil can type a first name or a nickname and press Keep the results, or press Not now. Once named, the next quizzes are kept without a question. Without a name, the results stay in the browser and nothing is sent.

  • The pill at the top of the page lets the pupil change the first name or press Stop keeping, which erases everything at once.

  • Results belong to a device. A pupil who opens the link on another device is another pupil there, and is asked for a name again. There is no recovery code.

Reading the results

  • The teacher who made the link sees the results. Next to the link in My account, My links, the Results button opens a table with one row per pupil: first name, quizzes finished, trophies and last activity. Two pupils with the same name show as Léa B. and Léa B. · 2.

  • A filter keeps one model, and the figures follow it. Detail shows each finished quiz of a pupil. Export CSV downloads one row per finished quiz, ready for a spreadsheet.

  • The school’s managers see the same results from the board. The author or a manager can delete a pupil, which erases the first name and the results at once.

What is kept, and until when

Only the first name or nickname the pupil chose, and the quiz results, nothing else. No account, no IP address and no user agent is stored with them. They are erased at once when the pupil chooses Stop keeping, when the author or a manager deletes the pupil, and when the link is deleted. Otherwise they are erased 30 days after the link ends (end date, revocation, or an admin switch turned off).
