A link plays a stand on a device with no Foxar account: a partner's screen, a borrowed iPad.
A link plays a stand on a device with no Foxar account: a partner's screen, a borrowed iPad. Making links is a separate permission that Foxar gives along with the right to create stands. It then shows in the stand's menu as Links to share.
Make a link
Give the link a name, to find it again, a number of devices and a number of days, within the limits shown under the fields.
Create a link, then Copy the link or show its QR code to scan it with the other device.
The window lists the devices that opened it. Free this place gives a device's place to the next one, Revoke stops the link on every device.
A link plays the stand's free models. When the stand belongs to the Foxar team, it plays its Foxar+ models too. A device that is also signed in to a Foxar account plays what that account opens, a licence or an organization included.
Open a link
The link opens the stand with its last day and a Play button. Prepare this device (on an iPad: Prepare this iPad) keeps the stand on the device to play it without a network, up to 72 hours at a time and never past the end of the link.
"This link is already open on as many devices as it allows": every place is taken. The person who sent the link can free one.
"This link has ended": it was revoked or reached its last day. A new one has to be asked for.
Good to know
When a link opens Foxar+ models, it opens them in the stand’s player only. The same model in the normal library stays behind the paywall.
The link stops opening the stand when it ends or is revoked, or when its maker no longer holds the right to share stands.
